YONGKANG, China, April 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/-- The 5th China (Yongkang) International Door Industry Expo will be held in Yongkang International Convention and Exhibition Center, Zhejiang, China from May 26 to 28. The Door Expo has received the approval of China's Ministry of Commerce, and it is co-sponsored by China Construction Metal Structure Association, China General Chamber of Commerce, China Real Estate Association, and the People's Government of Yongkang City, and jointly organized by Zhejiang China Technology Hardware City Group Co., Ltd.,the Steel & Wooden Door and Window Committee of CCMSA, the International Liasion Department of CCMSA, and the Steel Door and Window Association of Yongkang City. Exhibitors attending the expo number 803 with firms from Italy, Beijing, Shanghai, as well as Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces, in addition to other countries and regions inside and outside China having already booked 644 standard booths as well as the 41,808 square meters of space allocated for exhibitors who plan to install their own booth.
Several key trade events will be held at the Door Expo, including organizing groups of real estate developers who will tour the production facilities of local door manufacturers during the expo, enabling interested parties to enter face-to-face negotiations and develop relationships with Yongkang's local door makers. The Yongkang-Wuyi-Jinyun hardware industry cluster, centered in Yongkang, groups together over 1,200 door manufacturing and supporting companies, generating annual output exceeding 60 million doors of various types, annual export of more than 10 million doors, and an annual production value of over 25 billion yuan. Yongkang-Wuyi-Jinyun produces roughly 70% of China's security doors, according to surveys conducted by the China Security & Protection Industry Association (CSPIA). The doors exported from Yongkang-Wuyi-Jinyun account for about two thirds of China's total door exports. The door manufacturing sector has been one of the city's eight "pillar" industries for many years.
Yongkang is renowned for its hundreds of skilled hands as well as for its role as the hardware capital of China. The door industry in Yongkang, leveraging the advantages of its proximity to and integration with the massive hardware industry cluster, and centered on security doors as a core product, has become one of the largest, fastest growing and most steady industries among the eight that constitute Yongkang's "pillars."
