Pakistan: Militants killed in latest army offensive
Islamabad, 4 Nov.(AKI/DAWN) - At least nine suspected militants were killed and several others injured in the Pakistani military's latest offensive in South Waziristan on the border of Afghanistan.
Some key militant strongholds were also destroyed in the military operation and a substantial arms cache was recovered.
According to sources, the military operation is being conducted in areas including Kanigram and Makeen.
The military said militants were fleeing to neighbouring North Waziristan, Kurram Agency and other areas.
Pakistani security forces have been carrying out their operation for the past three weeks.
