Italy: Roma Gypsy toddler dies in blaze




Rome, 27 August (AKI) - A Roma Gypsy boy aged three died in a fire that broke out overnight at a camp on the southern outskirts of the capital. The boy's four-month-old brother is in a serious condition while the children's parents were also injured in the blaze.

The toddler's parents, baby brother and parents were admitted to Rome's Policlinico Gemelli hospital, where they are expected to be kept for at least 25 days.

Firemen rushed to the camp to extinguish the blaze, which spread to several shacks. Police were on Friday investigating the cause of the blaze.
