
Italy: Police seize 53 illegally built holiday villas worth €12mln

Salerno, 6 July (AKI) - Italian police Friday sealed off 53 villas near the southern coastal city of Salerno that were constructed without the necessary permits and reported 112 local people for illegal building.
The luxury villas are spread across an area of approximately 4,500 square metres in the Valle di Natale located in on a scenic stretch of coastline and are worth 12 million euros, according to investigators.
Police carried out the seizures on the orders of prosecutors in Vallo della Lucania in the Campania region.
