Italy: Mozart's Requiem to be performed to remember cruise-ship disaster victims
last update: July 13, 12:54
Rome, 13 July (AKI) - A solemn performance of Mozart's Requiem will be part of the events to mark the six months that have passed since a cruise ship partially sank off the Italian coast, killing 32 people.
Giglio Island will honour the disaster's victims with am ''In Memoriam'' concert at the Santi Lorenzo e Mamiliano church, with will include the Requiem.
The 290 metre-long Costa Concordia remains partly submerged near the shore of Tuscany's Giglio Island, a painful reminder of the accident that took place on 13 January when rocks tore open the vessel's hull.
The concert is due to be attended by family of the victims and some survivors of the accident.
