Italy: Man hurls self and kids from 6th-floor flat after row with wife

Brescia, 21 May (AKI) - A man threw his baby girl and four-year-old son out of the window of a 6th-floor apartment Monday in the northern Italian city of Brescia before leaping to his own death, police said.

The 14-month-old girl and her brother were pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital after distraught neighbours found them lying on top of cars parked beneath the apartment building.

The 51-year-old man was found dead on the sidewalk.

Neighbours said the man was unemployed and had quarrelled with his wife.
