last update: January 18, 16:52
Baghdad, 18 Jan. (AKI) - The Turkish embassy in Baghdad on Wednesday was hit by three missiles with one damaging an perimeter wall, according to the Turkish ambassador to Iraq, Yunus Demirer.
Demirer said he could not immediately say where the other two rockets hit, according to the Anadolu news agency.
The attack comes amid deepening tensions between the two neighbours after Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki's strongly criticised what he characterized as Turkey's interference in Iraqi affairs.
