last update: June 20, 17:15
Damascus, 20 June (AKI) - A policeman was killed and three other people wounded Wednesday when a convoy came under attack south of Damascus.
An Italian journalist travelling in the convoy in the southwest Syrian city of Daraa was unharmed by the bomb attack.
One of the injured victim lost a leg in the attack that primarily struck the first car in the three-vehicle convoy, according to reports.
The United Nations recently began to refer to the conflict in Syria as a civil war. At least 10,000 people have died in the conflict that began in March 2011 when Arab Spring anti-government protests spread to Syria.
