Italy's premier Giuseppe Conte, interior minister Matteo Salvini and other members of the populist government are "absolutely" clear on the need to boost the security of Italians and get more help on migration from other European Union countries, Salvini said on Wednesday.
"We absolutely agree on our approach: to further strengthen the security of Italian citizens and ram home in our talks with European colleagues the fact that we cannot be left unaided," Salvini said after a meeting with Conte in Rome.
"I will also be bringing to Innsbruck other initiatives aimed at moving on other fronts and to further reduce the presence of migrants and immigrants in Italy," Salvini said.
The whole coalition government "reasons with a single voice and mind" on migration, Salvini claimed.
