Italian authorities have expelled a Kosovan and a Tunisian citizen accused of supporting the Islamic State jihadist group, the interior ministry announced late on Thursday.
The 33-year-old Kosovan and the 37-year-old Tunisian were deported on Wednesday, the ministry said.
The Kosovan was put under special surveillance in January 2016 by a court in the northeastern city of Vicenza, requiring him to remain the province after investigators probed his activities on social media.
The suspect, who held fanatical religious beliefs, had joined a Facebook group that spread IS propaganda and on his personal Facebook page had lauded jihadist 'martyrs', according to investigators.
The Tunisian, who had a conviction for 'crimes against the person', came to the attention of investigators after he lauded the March 2017 terror Westminster terror attacks by British Muslim convert Khalid Masood, said the ministry.
A total of 68 suspected Islamic extremists have been deported from Italy this year and 305 since the start of 2015, the ministry stated.
