Japan's state broadcaster Nhk's TV and social media project for school pupils with suicidal thoughts due to bullying or anxiety about their studies, which can intensify at the end of the summer holidays, has won two prestigious Italian awards.
''Tv for the sake of living: #on the night of August 31'' won the Web Factual category at the 70th edition of the Prix Italia - an international Italian television, radio-broadcasting and website award taking place on the island of Capri through Saturday. The project also won the The Presidency of the Italian Republic Special Prize at the Prix Italia.
Schools resume in Japan on 1 September and the last night of the summer holidays is on 31st August.
