The so-called “Islamic State” group on has posted a video online showing the beheading in northern Syria of a young man accused of spying, local news website Aranews reported on Monday.
The victim and three other young men and boys accused of 'spying for the Crusader Coalition' were beheaded in IS's stronghold of Al-Raqqa, handcuffed and dressed in hallmark orange jumpsuits.
Subtitles to the video in Arabic claim the four youths had 'caused the death of hundreds of Muslims' by filming IS headquarters in Raqqa and handing details of the location to 'enemies of the Caliphate'.
The beheadings appeared to have carried out in an area exposed to airstrikes, Aranews said.
The UK-based group The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported the executions on Sunday and said it had received copies of the images. The monitor relies for its information on a network of activists in Syria.
