The Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front jihadist group killed a woman and her young son in a rocket attack on Syria's northern city of Aleppo, the state-run Sana news agency said Monday.
The mother and her child died in the attack on the al-Khaldiyeh residential neighbourhood, Sana said, citing an unnamed source at Aleppo police headquarters.
Residential and government buildings were damaged in the attack, the police source was quoted as saying.
Four civilians were injured when rebels groups shelled a residential district in the Eastern Ghouta area of the Syrian capital, Damascus, Sana also reported on Monday.
