A homeless man died when a caravan in the northeast city of Treviso caught fire overnight, police said on Friday.
Firemen called to put out the blaze found the man's charred body inside the caravan, which was parked at a dump in the city.
The victim was a 61-year-old Croatian who often slept in the caravan, local dail Il Gazzettino cited residents as saying.
Police were investigating the cause of the blaze.
