Italy's foreign minister Angelino Alfano will together with economic development minister Carlo Calenda chair a strategy meeting in Rome on Tuesday aimed at lifting international sales of Italian goods.
Expanding e-commerce, strategic communication campaigns focused on consumer awareness and on motivating retail outlets and building loyalty are on the agenda at the meeting, which is taking place at the economic development ministry.
The meeting will review an action plan for 2015-2017 and strategies to give a fresh boost to the internationalisation process.
Alfano and Calenda will give keynote addresses and economic development undersecretary Ivan Scalfarotto will outline current plans to promote Italian products abroad.
