Italy's premier Paolo Gentiloni will on Wednesday brief the Italian parliament on the summit of European Union leaders in Brussels later this week, the prime minister's office said in a statement.
Gentiloni will address the Chamber of Deputies lower house of parliament at 9.30 am and the upper house Senate at 4pm, the statement said.
Brexit looks set to dominate the EU summit taking place on Thursday and Friday.
British prime minister Theresa May chose Italy - a founder member of the bloc - to outline her vision of Brexit in a keynote speech in Florence last month.
