Italian Carabinieri police this week gave security training to 25 Lebanese military policemen within the mandate of the United Nations UNIFIL peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, police said in a note on Friday.
Under the training programme, the Lebanese military police officers received training in staffing security escorts and convoys, searches, handcuffing and how to enter a crime scene correctly, the note said.
Police officers from the Nabatieh Regional District of Lebanon's State Security attended the MP Procedures Course. The course is part of training aimed at improving the specialised and technical skills of the country's security forces, the note stated.
