The Anadolu Agency (http://www.aa.com.tr/en) sponsored global energy regulation forum will hold high-level international talks on common regulation systems in diverse energy sectors.

Hosted by Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority, or EMRA (http://www.emra.org.tr/), the sixth World Forum on Energy Regulation, WFER, will provide a bridge between different regulators in energy markets to form and apply common principles through the presentation of assorted sustainable and competitively priced energy options.

President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan is due to deliver the opening speech.

The main areas of interest in the WFER (@WFER6) will be discussed during the following session titles:-

The discussion on "Balancing the interests of shareholders" aims to underline how regulation plays a crucial role in developing energy resources in a balanced and equal way.

Benefiting from change involves an overview on the benefits and approaches of innovative regulation and how these can be applied to an ever changing and dynamic market.

The forum will also witness high-level discussions on sustainable and reliable energy resources as well as common approaches towards more efficient and compatible regulation systems.

EMRA formally invited the selected speakers and moderators after 14 months of discussions. With 120 moderators and speakers, the event will contain 24 sessions on various topics such as integrating energy networks, universal energy access and the role of the regulator in security of supply.

The forum will also host two special sessions relating to the struggle of the world's energy-poor regions and a G20 session as under the 2015 Turkish presidency of G20, energy will be one of the main topics on the agenda.
