Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Reitzle Joins Perella Weinberg Partners as Advisory Partner

NEW YORK and LONDON, August 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

Perella Weinberg Partners today announced that Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Reitzle, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Linde AG and current Chairman of LafargeHolcim and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Continental AG, has been named an Advisory Partner of the Firm. In this role, Prof. Dr. Reitzle will provide senior counsel to the Firm and its clients, particularly in Europe.

Biographical Information  

Prof. Dr. Reitzle is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Linde AG and present Chairman of LafargeHolcim.

Prof. Dr. Reitzle began his career at BMW, where in 1987 he was appointed a regular member of the Executive Board, responsible for research and development. In 1999, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Premier Automotive Group and Vice President of United States car manufacturer, Ford. In 2002, he joined the Executive Committee of Linde AG, a world-leading gases and engineering company, and was named Chief Executive Officer in 2003.

Prof. Dr. Reitzle is Chairman of the Board of Directors of LafargeHolcim, having been elected to the Board in 2012. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Continental AG in Hanover, Germany and Medical Park AG in Amerang, Germany; Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hawesko Holding AG in Hamburg, Germany; and a member of the Supervisory Board of Axel Springer SE in Berlin, Germany.

Prof. Dr. Reitzle studied engineering and economics at the Technical University of Munich, Germany and holds a degree and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
