LOS ANGELES, July 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Strengthening his reputation as a global hit maker, producer Jay Singh, professionally known as "J2," has collaborated with Shakira as producer and co-writer of her latest hit single "Dare (La La La)." The track has shot up the European charts, earning Gold certification in Spain and Italy, and is quickly climbing Billboard's Hot 100 in the US. A special Brazil version of "La La La" is also the secondary theme song for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which Shakira will perform at the World Cup Closing Ceremony on Sunday, July 13, 2014.

A producer with a unique and worldly sound, J2 drew inspiration for "Dare (La La La)" from his British/Indian heritage, and early days as a DJ, to create a catchy melody that appeals to a global audience. The song is an up-tempo dance track, built over big drums and chants, which contains Brazilian beats and takes influence from electro house. "Dare (La La La)" is the third released single from Shakira's self-titled 10^th studio album, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart earlier this year.
