Originally established 23 years ago in Hong Kong promoting only lower-priced Asian-made products, MEGA SHOWis now regarded within the international gift, housewares and toy industries as an annual global trading destination with a steady increase of suppliers based in Europe, South America and Australasia now participating to expand their customer base not only into the Asian market, but global sales as well. International sales applications are now being taken for 2015 with plans to develop all the merchandise sectors, particularly with internationally design-led products.
This year, a special program to sponsor Hong Kong hotel accommodation for qualified international buyers has been launched, with details available on the show website. The program has already received an enthusiastic response and the organisers have reported an increase in attendance registration from the established markets, in line with improving economic data. Registration for trade buyers is available online with complimentary admission badges being distributed worldwide during August 2014. Over 55,000 buyers are expected to attend the trade show over the seven sourcing days in the last two weeks of October.
