A combination of credit, loans and direct borrowing from financial markets is needed for countries to recover from the Covid-19 coronavirus crisis, the European Union's economy commissioner Paolo Gentiloni said on Tuesday.
"We need a mix of credit, loans and direct financing," Gentiloni told Italy's state broadcaster Rai's Tg2 news bulletin.
"The length of time in which to repay loans will also be crucial," Gentiloni added.
