Cohabitation reminds Amanda Knox of prison in Italy

Moving in with her new boyfriend Christopher Robinson has brought back memories of her time in an Italian jail, Amanda Knox wrote Tuesday in her blog on the West Seattle Herald daily's website.

"I’m reminded of how my cell in Capanne prison transformed in character with the arrival or release of even just one prisoner," she said.

"While none of us was allowed much in the way of material possessions, our combined emotional baggage, when bashed together without consideration, could make an already inescapable situation insufferable, even dangerous."

Knox, 29, and her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were tried twice and ultimately acquitted of the brutal 2007 murder in Perugia of Knox's British flatmate Meredith Kercher, in a high-profile case that gripped Italy.

After spending four years in Italy's Capanne jail in Umbria, Knox returned to her native Seattle in 2011, where she finished her degree and published a book about her case, Waiting to be Heard'.

It is not know when she began dating 26-year-old Robinson but in May last year she wrote a rave review of his book War of the Encyclopeadists on her blog.

The book was "a hilarious and heartbreaking investigation of the truth of two lives through fiction," Knox wrote.
