A contemporary art show was organised at the Italian embassy in Iran's capital Tehran to pay homage to late US basketball legend Kobe Bryant, who died last week in a helicopter crash, the foreign ministry tweeted Friday.
"Tonight at the Italian Residence in Tehran, among the astonishing artworks by RikyBoy and NirOne, the III edition of Urban Art Unites hosted the inspired tribute in loving memory of NBA Champion Kobe Bryant by Iranian artist Hoshvar," read the tweet.
The Italian embassy launched Urban Art Unites in September last year to boost cultural relations between Rome and Tehran.
The project intends aims to strengthen creative bilateral artistic exchange between Italy and Iran and also to raise social awareness of the importance of enhancing urban spaces through artwork including murals.
