Top office-bearers to address Italy-Africa conference

Head of state Sergio Matterella and premier Giuseppe Conte are among top officials who will address the second Italy-Africa ministerial conference taking place at the foreign ministry next week, the ministry said on Friday.
Mattarella will open the conference, which is due to be attended by delegates from over 40 African countries, as well as senior officials from the African Union, international and regional organisation, the ministry said.
Italy's foreign minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi and the deputy chairman of the AU Commission, Kwesi Quartey will give keynote speeches, while Italy's deputy foreign minister Emanuela Del Re, government ministers from African countries taking part in the event as well as business people, academics and NGO representatives will address the plenary.
Conte will deliver the conference's concluding remarks, the ministry said.
