Italy's premier Giuseppe Conte will attend the G20 summit taking place in Buenos Aires on Friday and Saturday and during his trip will meet Argentina's president Mauricio Macri and other high-profile figures, his office said in a statement.
On Thursday, Conte will inaugurate a new Italo-Argentinian research centre at the University of Bueno Aires, will be awarded an honorary degree by its rector, Edgardo Barbieri and will give a guest lecture.
Conte will later on Thursday meet Macri and members of the Italian community in Buenos Aires before visiting the Museum of Bellas Artes where an Italian art treasure, the ancient Roman Aphrodite of Capua, statue is on display.
Conte will hold a press conference on Saturday at the end of the G20 summit leaders of the world's 20 biggest economies, where trade tensions between the US and China and climate change are set to dominate the agenda.
