Italy's populist premier Giuseppe Conte will make an official visit to Lebanon on Thursday next week, the prime minister's office said in a statement.
Further details of Conte's visit will be made available in the coming days, the statement said.
Conte's will visit Lebanon a week after the county's political factions on Thursday agreed to form a new government of national unity, ending nearly nine months of wrangling since elections were held.
The new 30-member cabinet headed by prime minister Saad al-Hariri, will contain most of the country's rival factions, including the Iran-backed Shia movement Hezbollah which - with its allies - made gains in parliamentary polls last May.
