The military escalation in war-torn Libya and the crises in Syria and Ukraine were the focus of a "lengthy and detailed" phone conversation between Italy's premier Giuseppe Conte and Russia's president Vladimir Putin, Conte's office said on Thursday.
"The two leaders agreed to give each other constant updates - especially in respect of Libya and its strategic importance also for Italian interests," said the statement from Conte's office.
