Over 550 Italian citizens returned home on Monday, bringing the number of repatriations to 87,400 since the Covid-19 pandemic began earlier this year, the foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday.
The Italians who were repatriated on Monday arrived on flights from Bangkok, Tel Aviv, Buenos Aires, London and Brussels, the statement said.
Italians stranded aboard have been brought home from 119 countries in more than 910 operations, according to the statement.
