The stability of the Balkans region is an objective shared by Slovenia and Italy, defence minister Lorenzo Guerini and his Slovenian counterpart Matej Tonin agreed at a meeting on Thursday, Guerini tweeted.
"With my oppositive number Matej Tonin we reiterated our shared priorities of Balkans stability, NATO's Southern Flank and bilateral cooperation between Italy and Slovenia," read the tweet.
"Italy and Slovenia, both NATO and European Union members. Side by side in many international missions starting with our shared commitment to NATO's Kosovo Force (KFOR)."
