Police in Italy and Albania on Wednesday arrested 10 people suspected of supporting the Islamic State amid what prosecutors said was one of Europe's first probes into the jihadist group.
"This is the first investigation in Italy concerning the Islamic State terrorist organisation and one of the first in Europe," prosecutor Maurizio Romanelli told journalists in Milan, whose anti-terror police are spearheading the probe.
