Keeping Italy safe requires constant vigilance against the risk of cyber attacks, prime minister Paolo Gentiloni said in Rome on Tuesday.
"Defending Italy means safeguarding against cyber risks. All our key systems are based on the Internet," Gentiloni said at a presentation of a government security report .
"Defending cyberspace means defending our national territory," Gentiloni stated.
He was speaking at the presentation of an annual report by the Italian government's Security Intelligence Department (DIS).
