Italy's foreign minister Angelino Alfano on Friday praised his ministry's re-vamped website, saying it was "increasingly a reference point for citizens" which brought them closer to government.
"In today's rapid, technological and globalised world, the foreign ministry is increasingly a reference point for citizens," Alfano said in a statement to mark the new website's launch.
The new website made "clearer and more useable" the services offered by the ministry to Italians resident abroad and to companies, as well as its aid, cultural and educational activities, Alfano aid.
"It brings the foreign ministry closer to citizens," Alfano stated.
