The Islamic State jihadist group's alleged international attacks chief, Abu Mohammed al-Adnani, masterminded the assault on Paris killed 130 people and injured over 360, French daily Le Parisien reported, citing French security sources.

Adnani fought United States forces in Iraq after the 2003 invasion and appeared in a video in September last year urging the killing of westerners "especially the evil, dirty French, with all available means including knives, stones, poison and road accidents," Le Parisien said.

The 38-year-old Syrian preacher, whose real name is Taha Subhi Falaha, heads a 'kill-list' of alleged IS leaders, the UK plans to take out in bombing raids of the group's strongholds, the British-based Sunday Times reported on Sunday.

Adnani is in charge of the terror group’s “international attacks” unit, which is believed to have orchestrated the Paris massacre and has repeatedly targeted the UK for a mass-casualty atrocity, the paper said.

His external operations unit in IS's stronghold of Raqqa is believed to be running a network of jihadists who have returned home after being trained in Syria.

Besides France, Britain, Germany, Italy and Belgium - which have all foiled attacks in recent weeks - are among nations being targeted by IS, according to the Sunday Times.
