Europe's partnership with North America and in European integration are the "cornerstones" of Italy's foreign policy, foreign minister Luigi Di Maio said on Tuesday during a visit to Washington.
"Our belief in Atlanticism and our commitment to European integration are rooted in the shared values that unite Italy and the United States," Di Maio told an online event to mark 160 years of bilateral diplomatic ties.
"This continues to form the cornerstones of Italy's foreign policy," Di Maio underlined.
