There is now "awareness" that Italy has recovered from its worst post-war recession, the country's prime minister Paolo Gentiloni said on Wednesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
"I see an awareness of the fact that - in the context of growth seen in almost all of the world's important economic sectors - Italy has finally emerged from its worst economic crisis," Gentiloni said.
This awaress extends to the fact that "there is growth and that jobs are being created, and that Italy can tackle its social problems - but from a much more stronger position than a few years ago," Gentioni said.
