A 'broad consensus" exists on the Libyan and Venezuelan crises, foreign minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi and his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian said during talks in Brussels Monday on the sidelines of a Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
"Meeting between Foreign Minister Moavero and the French Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on the sidelines of the Foreign Affairs Council," Italy's Permanent Representation at the European Union tweeted.
"There is a broad consensus on Libya and Venezuela," the tweet added.
Libya, Venezuela and the Sahel are the focus of Monday's Foreign Affairs Council meeting attended by EU foreign ministers and foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.
