Premier Giuseppe Conte, European Union economy commissioner Paolo Gentiloni and foreign minister Luigi Di Maio will be among speakers in Rome on Thursday at the close of Italy's 17-day-long Sustainable Development Festival.
Italy's general commissioner at Expo 2020 Dubai, Paolo Glisenti and youth representatives will also address the festival's closing session.
For the first time, the festival's close will coincide with the unveiling of the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASVIS)'s annual report.
The ASVIS report focuses on international progress in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Italy's progress towards the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. It will highlight the areas in which action is needed and outline proposals to ensure ensure economic, social and environmental sustainability.
Italy's foreign ministry helped organised the Sustainable Development Festival which has seen hundreds of events being organised throughout the country, attend by over 270 organizations.
