Police on Friday barred local council employees and greengrocers from the Sicilian town of Paterno's annual Santa Barbara festival after footage emerged showing a group bowing and blowing a kiss outside a jailed mafia boss's home during a religious procession.
The group of six men captured on film and reported to police were greengrocers and Paterno council workers carrying a statue of the town's patron saint during one of the numerous processions of the week-long festival, which began on Tuesday.
