Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio took part in a European Union Foreign Affairs Council summit in Luxembourg on Monday, where the recent flare-up of conflict in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region and the post-election unrest in Kyrgyzstan were on the agenda.
The summit chaired by EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell was also due to "review recent developments and debate issues related to the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Russia, and Latin America and the Caribbean," according to the European Council website.
Borrell was due to brief summit participants on Mozambique, the EU-Ukraine Summit, Venezuela, and the EU Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy 2020-2024, according to the EU Council website.
