Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio on Friday called for an "ambitious and realistic" European Union review its southern neighbourhood policy.
"Our countries can do a lot together," Di Maio told the Mediterranean Dialogues virtual forum.
"We can create a strategic review of the EU southern neighbourhood policy that is ambitious and realistic, centering it on the principle of sharing the so-called 'Mediterranean public goods' and on second positive incentive schemes for North-South cooperation," he said.
