Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio on Monday held phone talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
Regional developments including the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic featured in Di Maio and Cavusoglu's talks, Turkey's Anadolu news agency reported, citing diplomatic sources.
Italy and Turkey have been struggling to contain the spread of Covid-19, which has killed nearly 27,000 people in Italy - Europe's epicentre of the disease - and over 2,800 in Turkey.
