At talks in Rome on Tuesday with Libya's Presidential Council president Abdullah al-Lafi, foreign minister Luigi Di Maio underlined Italy's support for its war-torn former colony's path towards stable democracy
"Foreign minister Di Maio met with the VP of the Libyan Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi. Italy's support to the stabilization of the country and to an inclusive electoral process," the foreign ministry tweeted.
"Determination to further consolidate partnership Libya," the tweet added.
