Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio will on Wednesday chair G20 foreign ministers' meeting on Afghanistan during the United Nations General Assembly in New York, according to sources.
UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres is expected to attend Wednesday's meeting, according to the sources.
The meeting will lay the groundwork for a G20 summit on Afghanistan that is due to take place next week after the UN General Assembly.
