Russia's three-month-old war in Ukraine, its effect on the Balkans, and Serbia's European Union membership bid were the focus of Italy's foreign minister Luigi Di Maio's talks in Belgrade with Serbia's president Aleksandar Vucic.
"#Serbia | FM @luigidimaio met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic @predsednikrs," the foreign ministry tweeted.
"Focus on the consequences of the Russian aggression against Ukraine for the Balkans and on Italy's support for the European accession path of Serbia as a strategic partner for regional stability," read the tweet.
