Italy has no plans to evacuate or withdraw staff from its embassy in Kiev, Adnkronos learned on Monday after the US warned Russia could invade Ukraine at any time amid escalating tensions with the West.
No European Union countries expressed an intent to pull staff from their embassies in the Ukrainian capital during meeting of the bloc's foreign ministers, sources told Adnkronos.
The US government told relatives of its embassy staff to leave Ukraine on Sunday and the United Kingdom has also started withdrawing staff from its embassy, with about half set to leave Kyiv.
