Italy's premier Mario Draghi and British counterpart Boris Johnson held phone talks on Thursday ahead of next week's G7 summit in southwestern England, Draghi's office said in a statement.
Global recovery from the Coronavirus pandemic, vaccine rollouts and supplies to poorer countries as well as climate change are likely to be the focus of the G7 summit in Carbis Bay, Cornwall on 11-13 June.
The United Kingdom currently holds the rolling annual presidency of the G7 (Italy, the UK, the US, Germany, Canada, France and Japan).
