Boosting NATO-European Union cooperation, as well as the western military alliance's role in the Mediterranean were on the agenda during talks in Rome between Italy's premier Mario Draghi and NATO secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg on Wednesday.
"The meeting focused on the main international developments for Euro-Atlantic security and NATO's adaptation process, in the run up to the Madrid Summit of 29-30 June 2022," Draghi's office said in a statement.
"The discussions also addressed the strengthening of cooperation between NATO and the European Union and the role of the Atlantic Alliance in the Mediterranean," the statement added.
