Religious fundamentalists from all over the world have a common feature - their frequent and "obsessive" refusal to accept those who do not share their beliefs, Italy's foreign minster Angelino Alfano said on Monday.
"Extremists from every line of latitude and religion often share an obsessive rejection of diversity," Alfano said ahead of an international meeting on migration in the Mediterranean and security in Palermo.
The two-day meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday is being attended by representatives of the 57 member-states of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and its six Mediterranean partners - Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia.
