Access to food, schooling and equality opportunities for women and girls are "key issues" in the battle against climate change, Italy's deputy foreign minister Emanuela Del Re tweeted on Friday.
Food security, education and gender equality are key issues when it comes to fighting #ClimateChange," read the tweet.
"We count on and we work with #Youth to tackle the challenges due to climate change and to achieve #Agenda2030 sustainable development."
Del Re's tweet coincided with the Youth4ClimateLive series of digital events being hosted by Italy's environment in which young people can discuss creative climate action with policymakers.
